Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger Is Back (And Messier Than Ever)

Today I’m reviewing the much anticipated return of a Wendy’s Fan Favorite, The Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger.
After appearing for the first time before the curse of Covid, it’s made various limited time appearances and departures over the last couple years. Featuring warm beer cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, and smoked honey mustard finished off with crispy fried onions and pickles ensconced between a delicious bun made of Pretzel, it’s easy to see why this is such a sought after favorite.
Although I will say for the record that today’s iteration of it, as clearly showcased in the photo above, was by far the messiest encounter I’ve had with this sandwich to date. I can’t really gripe over it too much though as after the Wendy’s location’s scanner failed to read my app for my free burger redemption via Reward Points, the manager let me have it and my Large Fries free of charge. Who says there’s no such thing as a Free Lunch?
Despite it’s sloppy appearance the burger was a definite Flavor Parade of cheesy and saucy delights, amplified by the bacon and driven home by the crispy, salty onion straws and crunch of the pickles. A true salty and savory Tour De Force of Flavor. If you’re a fan of burgers, pretzels, and bacon this should be an easy choice to make. I highly recommend you get on down to your nearest Wendy’s and make this your next bite while you still can!
